Hunter Macro: Pet Growl on/off

If you‘ve ever been in a 5 man and forget to turn your pet’s taunt ability off you were probably reminded by the tank that you need to. This macro keeps this problem from happening.

Quick Pull Macro

Combined Macro

Here is how this macro works:
  • If you are in a group and this button is clicked, your pet’s taunt ability will be turned off.
  • If you are solo and this button is clicked, your pet’s taunt ability will be turned on.

There is one small down fall if you don’t merge this macro with another macro is that you still have to remember to click the button. So what I’ve done is put this macro and an opening attack macro together so that when I start to attack it is automatic. The macro I combined the pet taunt macro with can still cause you problems if you have a habit of setting “Hunter’s Mark” on a target BEFORE the tank pulls so you may want to edit out the line that sends your pet to attack and or the line that starts “Auto Shot”.

Hunter Macro: All in One Pet Macro

This macro gives almost complete control over your pet in a single button while also taking advantage of the focus targeting system. You will need to edit the macro to specify which Call Pet to use. By default I used Call Pet 1.

Here is how this macro works:

  • If your pet is dead: You will cast Revive Pet.
  • If your pet is not summoned: You will cast Call Pet 1
  • If your pet is not summoned but is dead you can hold "shift" to cast Revive Pet.
  • If you do not have a focus: Hunter's Mark will be cast on the target,You will focus on your target and your pet will be sent to attack it.
  • If you have a focus: You will clear focus and your pet will be recalled to follow you.

So in summary; If your pet is missing, dead, Your pet will be summoned or revived. If your pet is not attacking: Hunter's Mark will be cast on the target and your pet will attack your target. If your pet is attacking: Your pet will stop attacking and return to your side.
